Service Learning
  • SJU in Peru is a unique two-and-a-half week international service learning experience. Students learn from the women of a fair trade coffee cooperative and explore social justice themes that impact their own lives and our Peruvian partners.
  • Image of a person sitting on a mountain showing a heart with their hands
Beyond Borders is the capstone experience in international service learning, giving upper year students valuable community development experience working with grassroots organizations around the world.
  • Students gathered under a gazebo taking a break from work
Beyond U pairs responsible and passionate students with local organizations for a summer internship to learn about non-profit work and local social justice issues.
  • Three students work in the Tiny Home Takeout Garden
SJU Acts is an initiative of St. Jerome's University Campus Ministry in which students connect to our community partners (St. John’s Kitchen- a Working Centre project, and Tiny Home Takeout) through volunteering opportunities. The purpose is to engage students in acts of service as a means for their own personal transformation and in support of our community partners.
