The Betty G. Headley Senior Essay Award annually honours essays written by upper year undergraduate students, which are distinguished by their eloquence, originality, and persuasive power. The financial awards are $1,500 for a course-related essay and $500 for a personal essay. All submissions are reviewed by a Selection Committee comprised of SJU Faculty members.
