Retreat Leaders

Our Retreat Leaders are students who provide the programming for our first year retreats. Contact Sean for more information about how to get connected to these opportunities to grow your own faith and share your experiences with others in a mentorship capacity.

Project-based Leaders

We recognize that not all students are able to commit to a full term of leadership; we welcome new ideas and are here to support students who want to offer specific programs for the Campus Ministry community at any point during the year.

Music Ministry

We welcome all musicians and singers to join our choir for our 7:00 pm liturgy at any point through the year. The choir practices at 5:30 pm each Sunday before mass.

Liturgical Volunteers

All are invited to share their gifts during our Sunday liturgies as a lector or server. We welcome new volunteers throughout the year.

What is a Chaplain?

A chaplain – put simply – is a spiritual mentor. They can be a member of the clergy, a leader in a religious group, or someone who mentors through faith.

At St. Jerome’s University we are lucky to have Sean Hayes as our chaplain. He is always available to connect, to lend a listening ear, and to provide resources and support.

In the University of Waterloo community there are chaplains representing eleven different faith traditions, providing support to students, faculty, staff, and our community members through spiritual and pastoral care. See the UW Chaplains page for more information.
