The St. Jerome’s University (SJU) Orientation and Investiture Ceremony honours the tradition of welcoming and formally acknowledging the beginning of our first-year students’ journey at the university. 

 

We welcome incoming co-registered students and first-year residents of St. Jerome’s to participate in this community event, taking place at the end of Orientation week. Each incoming student will receive a SJU pin to mark this milestone. The pin serves as a reminder that incoming students are part of a community that will support, challenge, nurture, educate, and walk with them to ensure their success.

 

The 2023 Orientation and Investiture ceremony takes place on Tuesday, September 5^th at 6:00 p.m., in the Academic Centre (SJ2) on SJU campus. 

 

First-year/incoming students are invited to begin in the Gymnasium in Siegfried and Ryan Hall at 5:30 p.m. with floor and community pictures. Students will then be escorted to the Vanstone Lecture Hall by student leaders for the Investiture Ceremony where all students will receive their St. Jerome's pin. A buffet dinner in the Atrium of the Academic Centre will follow. 

 

Please note that photos will be taken during the ceremony. 

 

Incoming co-registered students who are living off campus are asked to register for Orientation events, including the Orientation Investiture Ceremony.
