Psalms of the Children: Their Songs and Laments

What are the troubled children saying? How do they feel? What do they think? What is the effect of violence and of physical and emotional abuse on them? What has happened to the souls of children? In her lecture, Dr. Anderson will explore some of the comments, thoughts and feelings – the "Psalms" – of the troubled young people she has treated during her lifetime of practice and research.

Dr. Ursula Anderson, M.D., D.P.H., D.C.H, M.R.C.S., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Ursula Anderson is an internationally known physician whose pioneering work, research and publications in Child Health, Mental Health, Preventive Medicine, and Public Health, have earned distinction in international publications. A graduate of Yale University Medical School and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England, Dr. Anderson has worked in the fields of behavioural medicine, development, and public health for more than 35 years – including several at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She has held several prestigious academic and governmental positions and served as a consultant to the World Health Oganiztion in Geneva, Switzerland
