This memo is to provide advanced notice of temporary restrictions to the library collections and archive space for the Spring 2024 term. Compact shelving in the library requires repair. To complete this work, the shelves will need to be dismantled. While this work is undertaken, the library collection will be taken offline, and the collection and archive space will be inaccessible. The tentative shutdown date begins April 25, 2024. Work is expected to be completed before the start of the fall term.

The library desk will be open during this period Monday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for reference services only. The ASA Reading Room and collaborative spaces will be open. Library classrooms will remain open with scheduled classes running as usual. Any necessary noise disruptions will be restricted to non-operational hours.

Course reserve requests should be submitted by March 31, 2024. Additional information will be communicated as it becomes available.
