2019 SJU Graduation Ceremony
2019 SJU Graduation Ceremony
Date: Sunday, June 09, 2019
Time: 02:30 PM
Time: 02:30 PM
On Sunday, June 9th the 2019 St. Jerome's University Graduation Ceremony takes place at 2:30 p.m. in the Theatre of the Arts (Modern Languages Building), on the University of Waterloo campus. A reception follows in the Academic Centre on SJU's campus.
All graduates that are academically registered through St. Jerome's University, those that have lived in our residence, and those that play an active role within our community, are invited to attend the 2019 Graduation Ceremony to celebrate student achievements; Academic, university and community awards; and our highest student honour - the Zach Ralston Award. As a Catholic institution the celebration takes place within the context of a Christian practice called the Liturgy of the Word, in which there are readings from the Judeo-Christian scriptures that invite us to reflect on how the privilege of education calls us to shared social responsibility.
Graduating students are asked to register their own and guest participation for the Graduation Ceremony by Friday, May 17, 2019. Space is limited to three (3) guests per graduating student. Additional tickets may be requested when registering. Availability of extra seats will be confirmed by May 24, 2019.
Please note that registering for this event is not confirmation of your completion of studies and graduation. Students must submit their intent to graduate form and confirm eligibility to graduate. Please contact your Academic Advisor if you have questions.
The SJU Graduation Ceremony event does not replace convocation ceremonies at the University of Waterloo, when all students (including those co-registered at SJU), will be conferred and receive their University of Waterloo Degree.
