Public Life and Faith in Canada

Speaking out of decades of experience, Mr. Clark will look at faith and public life in Canada.

The Rt. Hon. Joe Clark

A native of High River, Alberta, Joe Clark was elected to the House of Commons at the age of 32. Only four years later, the young Member of Parliament was elected Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada. In 1979, the 39-year-old Clark became the youngest Prime Minister in Canadian history. Since then, he has served as Minister of External Affairs, President of the Privy Council, and Minister Responsible for Constitutional Affairs. In the year 2000, he returned to the House of Commons.
