The word “hate” often elicits fear, disgust, anger, and moral condemnation, but do we really understand what hate is? Dr. Burris will offer a psychological definition intended to aid in recognizing and responding to hate in its various forms.

Christopher Burris is an Associate Professor of Psychology at St. Jerome’s University. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Kansas and is a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion. Burris is a highly regarded lecturer who has published scores of papers on questions relating to religious identity and human development
