Can Prayer be Taught?

As our second Ignatian Lecturer, Margaret Hebblethwaite will explore the perennially challenging issue of prayer, its meaning and practice. Working from within the Ignation tradition, this lecture will deal with the joys and difficulties of praying today. The session will be practical, joyful and profound.

Margaret Hebblethwaite

Margaret Hebblethwaite is widely known in Britain and Europe for her brilliant interpretation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and her genius as a spiritual director of insight and compassion. She brings to this a rich background in academic theology and ecclesial experience on many continents. More recently, Margaret has bee appointed to the distinguished post of Associate Editor of the British Catholic Journal, the Tablet.
