Thank you for the incredible response to the Student Emergency Relief COVID-19 Fund! We are grateful to those of you who have recently made a donation - some for the very first time! Your contribution means a lot to our students navigating a new path without the traditional means of support available - such as a part-time job to help pay for tuition, rent, and expenses.
Yes, the federal government is making some funding available to students, but it is not enough as we look at their long term needs. The COVID-19 fund is critical to providing short-term aid, but St. Jerome's University is also focused on the longer term impact on students. Our planning began long ago with the development of the Student Wellness fund, dedicated to assist students faced with mental/physical/spiritual upheaval - exactly like what many have experienced with this pandemic.
On Tuesday, May 5th, Giving Tuesday Now provides you with another reason to show your support for St. Jerome’s University if you have yet to. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is coming together to support charitable organizations facing unprecedented economic challenges.
