Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Online - Zoom

St. Jerome’s University (SJU) is about to embark on another significant turning point in its history. As part of its governance responsibilities, every five years the university goes through a strategic planning process to review and define its mission, values and goals; establish priorities as an institution; and map out how they will be achieved. As part of Phase 1’s consultative process, key stakeholders in the community are invited to register and participate in online focus group conversations. The second focus group takes place on Monday, March 29th, 10:00 a.m.-12 Noon.

Stakeholders, including the Board of Governors, Senate Council, the Students’ Union, students, alumni, faculty, and staff, are asked to register for one of the following dates to contribute to the conversation online:

                        Monday, March 29, 10 a.m.-12 Noon - Register HERE
                        Thursday, April 1, 2-4 p.m. - Register HERE

A confirmation email will be sent to all registrants with the Zoom meeting details for their specific date/time. Additional materials will also be available for review in advance of the meeting to support participation in discussions.

“It is an exciting time to launch this process,” stated SJU’s President and Vice Chancellor, Peter Meehan. “We are in a time of disruption, uncertainty, and the need for enhanced flexibility to respond to a changing world, and more specifically, to a changing postsecondary environment. It is also a time to have confidence that the foundation of our university, the strength of our community, and the capacity of our collective knowledge and creative talent, will help us through this process of self-assessment and equip us to face the future and remain a leader in Catholic education. I know we are up to the challenge and encourage our community to join us as part of this important Phase 1 work.”
