Chancellor Beingessner and President Bergman invite you to join us for High Tea as we launch a week of sacred illumination.
Join us for An Illuminated High Tea, taking place on November 13, 2017, 4:00-5:30 p.m. at St. Jerome's University Gymnasium. This event launches a weeklong display of precious medieval manuscripts and supports our library expansion.
Tickets for this event are $40 each, which includes:
- High Tea;
- a talk on “Selecting Sacred Scripture: How the Biblical Canon was Created” by Dr. Greti Dinkova-Bruun, Librarian of the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies, (PIMS) University of Toronto;
- a rare opportunity to view a tenth-century Carolingian manuscript and a stunning fifteenth-century illuminated book of hours;
- advance viewing of ten medieval manuscript facsimiles on loan from the PIMS.
Space is limited. Please register soon if you wish to join us. A tax receipt of $23 will be issued. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the expansion and rejuvenation of our library.
