Join us for this year's 20th Anniversary Feast of St. Jerome celebration, taking place on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.!
The Feast of St. Jerome is an annual community event held in the fall that honours the university's Patron Saint. Historically the celebration includes a mass, followed by a reception and dinner, and the opportunity for our donors and friends to connect, reminisce, and raise money for St. Jerome’s University student bursaries.
A highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Chancellor John R. Sweeney Award. The annual award is the university’s highest honour for recognition of Catholic leadership. It is given to an individual(s) who has demonstrated, either through professional or personal achievements, extraordinary accomplishment in the fields of leadership, education, and service to others. Previous recipients of the award include The Right Honourable Paul Martin, Dick Callahan, Dr. John “Jack” Raymond Sehl, Robert Way, Mary Kuntz, and in 2020, COVID-19 Pandemic Essential Workers.
We are not able to be together in person due to current pandemic gathering guidelines, but we hope that you will join us as we move to an online format! We are excited to welcome special guest speaker, The Honourable Graydon Nicholas, former Lt. Governor of New Brunswick, and current Endowed Chair of Native Studies at St. Thomas University, New Brunswick. We also look forward to presenting this year's recipient of the Chancellor John R. Sweeney Award for Catholic Leadership, Steven Lubczuk.
