Hi blog readers! My name is Madie Bennett and I am this Winter Terms Outreach and Recruitment Associate. In this role I will be working closely with the CEO, Experience guide teams as well as with Rebecca Rucurean, the Admissions and Recruitment Specialist, and Olivia Carvalho, who you will meet shortly, in the below post. Our team works together to run tours of St. Jerome’s campus, organize March Break Open House and more!  I am very excited to be within this role this term and to be able to share bits of my experience as well as fact about St. Jerome’s with you! I am in my fourth year of studying and will be heading into my fifth and final term starting September 2020. I am an Honours Arts Student and I am majoring in Theatre and Performance and English Literature and Rhetoric.

Regarding the schedule of posting the schedule that  I am hoping to follow is that for the month of January I will be doing one post a week on Wednesdays, and than in February, March and April I will be expanding to two posts a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In these posts I hope to share with you my experience in the role of Outreach and Recruitment associate, as well as give you an inside look at the people and groups that help to make St. Jerome’s what it is.  

For prospective students I hope this blog will help you decide if St. Jerome’s is the right fit for you and for current students, I hope it helps to give you an expanded view of the community that you are apart of.

Hello! My name is Olivia and I am the Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator here at SJU. I am an SJU/UW grad, and most recently represented both institutions on the road across Ontario as a Liaison Officer. Now, I am excited to be back on campus helping students navigate through the admissions process, and being a part of helping them find their way home to SJU. When I’m not speaking with prospective students about pursuing their passions, you can find me grabbing a tea in the Funcken Café, checking out local art shows, and testing recipes in search of the perfect the chocolate chip cookie!
