Recruitment Begins for VPAD
St. Jerome’s University is recruiting for the position of Vice President Academic and Dean (VPAD). The VPAD is a member of the Senior Administrative Team as Vice President and the chief academic officer for the University.
In this role the VPAD shall preserve and continue to develop St. Jerome’s University’s Mission, including its commitment to learning and academic excellence; the Gospel values of love, truth and justice; encouraging reflection and action in the pursuit of social justice, and community engagement; and the formation of leaders capable of addressing the challenges of the modern world.
The VPAD is key to the development of the University’s place as a predominantly undergraduate liberal arts university at the University of Waterloo; nurturing relationships and present and future academic leaders; overseeing academic program renewal and development; supporting research; fostering strong cooperative relationships in a unionized environment; furthering Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives; cultivating a welcoming community for students; and utilizing experience as a scholar, a teacher, and an administrator to support transformational research and academic engagement at St. Jerome’s University. It serves as a member of the St. Jerome’s University Board of Governors and reports to the Board on St. Jerome’s University’s academic mission.
