The Department of English at St. Jerome’s University invites applications for a Continuing Appointment in English at the rank of Lecturer, beginning 1 September 2023, subject to budgetary approval. The successful candidate will have a PhD in English or an allied field in the Humanities.
The successful candidate will teach courses in Professional Communications in Statistics and Actuarial Science or similar, as well as other communications courses, and literary studies courses as needed; and will share in the service work of the university. Experience teaching professional communications and a commitment to service are essential. An ability to teach in related programs, such as Arts First and Health Humanities, or in literature and rhetoric, would be an asset. The teaching load for Lecturers at St. Jerome’s is currently six sections per academic year. As of May 1, 2022, the base salary for a Continuing Appointment at the rank of Lecturer is $72,511.
