Meet Natalie a Graduating Student!
29 Jan, 2020

"A time of completion. A time of celebration."

Graduating students are a big part of the St. Jerome’s community through helping to pass on traditions, take on leadership positions and more. This term some graduating students will be interviewed and they will share memories from their years as a St. Jerome’s student, as well as their advice for incoming students.

The first graduating student who will be interviewed on this blog in Natalie, a fourth-year student who is an Arts student majoring in Global Business & Digital Arts and a current residence Don at St. Jerome’s University.

What is your favourite class that you have taken over your degree so far, and why is it your favourite?

“My favourite class was my first-year user experience class where I learned about different ways to create a product or service that works best for those who use it, which really interests me and is a career path I'm hoping to follow.”

What advice would you give to an incoming St. Jerome's student who is starting their degree in the fall 2020 term?

“My advice is to take it moment by moment, and say yes to things that bring you joy while also leaving time to take care of yourself and focus on your studies.”

What is your favourite St. Jerome's Memory?

“It's hard to pick a favourite amidst the many coffee houses, dances, events, and late-night chats shared between friends here over the years, but I have to say one of my favourite memories was having weekly "Dock Chats" (my floor was beach themed) as a Don where my floor would come hang out in my room, have some tea, and talk about our week or watch a show together.”

What are your plans upon graduating?

"I'm currently applying for post-grad jobs in the Waterloo tech sector within the user experience and visual design field. I hope to start working for a company whose mission I am passionate about and really enjoy going to my job each day!”
