St. Jerome’s accommodates 286 students – approximately 80% are first year students with the remaining 20% being upper year students.
If you’re a first-year student and receive your offer of admission dated no later than May 25, 2010, you will be guaranteed a place
in one of the University of Waterloo’s on-campus residences – which
includes St. Jerome’s.
Your offer of residence will accompany your academic offer of admission.
At that time, you will be given an opportunity to indicate your residence
preference by following the process outlined below. The deadline by which to complete the three steps below is May 28, 2010 by 11:59PM E.D.T
1. Go to the online residence ranking form and read the details about The Guarantee in the top right corner;
2. Under the "Fall" heading, click on "Fill out the Residence Community Ranking Form." Once again, read the directions and then click "Start Now";
3. Using your UW Identification Number and birthdate, log in and complete the 5 pages. Rank SJU as your top choice and submit your $500 non-refundable deposit online using one of the secure payment options specified.
Please Note
All three steps above need to be completed by May 28, 2010 in order to gaurantee you a spot in one of the residences at the University of Waterloo (which includes SJU and the affiliated University College Residences).
Students
registered academically in Arts or Mathematics through St. Jerome’s
University will be given preference for a spot in the SJU residence
if they select SJU as their first choice. If you're not an SJU enrolled student, don't worry! We have lots of students from a variety of faculties and programs living here too!
If you've been accepted into residence at St. Jerome's, you'll receive an email from us on June 8, 2010. The email will come from "St. Jerome's Residences" (resinfo@sju.uwaterloo.ca). The email will include a link to our online confirmation portal. After completing the confirmation process and Lifestyles Preferences Survey, you will receive an email confirmation receipt.
During the week of August 2, 2010 you will receive an email from us with more information about move in and Orientation Week.
For answers to our "frequently asked questions", please check out our section on "Other Useful Residence Information".
If you are an upper year student, please contact the SJU Residence
Office for admission application procedures. In the fall term, priority
is generally given to current St. Jerome’s residents who are
required to apply in January. Acceptance criteria is based on participation
in residence life.
For winter and spring, we typically have a larger number of vacancies
available. Please contact the office for more information.
